Who we are

MERGE Photography Studio is a photography studio in Doha, Qatar, at Jaidah Capital Building, 1st floor, office 1005, Lusail. Commercial registration 245410. You can reach us at hello@mergestudio.qa or +974 3077 0202.

What we collect, and when

When you book or enquire through this website we ask for your name and either a phone number or an email address — one of the two, so that we can reach you about your session. You can also tell us the date and time you want, which hall or service you are after, and anything else you would like us to know.

When you pay by card, we are told that the payment succeeded and for how much. We never see or hold your card number.

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect anything about you that you have not typed in yourself.

Why we hold it

To arrange and confirm your session, to hold the hall for you, to send you a quotation or an invoice, to take payment, and to keep the records a business is required to keep.

We send marketing emails only to people who have agreed to receive them. Every one of those carries a link to stop them, and stopping them takes effect immediately.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for as long as we are required to for accounting and tax purposes. Enquiries that never became bookings are kept only while they are useful to us, and then removed.

Where it is held

Your information is held on our own server and is backed up, encrypted, to secure storage off the premises. It is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone beyond those listed below.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your agreement to marketing emails at any time. Write to hello@mergestudio.qa and we will deal with it.

If you think we have handled your information wrongly, tell us first — we would rather put it right.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle your information, we will change this page and the date below with it.

Who else sees it

To run the studio we rely on a few outside services. These are the only ones that receive anything about you, and this list is produced from how the studio is set up today rather than written out by hand.

SkipCash

Takes card payments on our behalf. Card details are entered on SkipCash's own page and never reach this website. They receive your name, the amount and a reference for the booking.

Our email provider

Delivers the confirmations, quotations and invoices we send you. They handle the message and your email address in order to deliver it.

WhatsApp (Meta)

Carries the messages we exchange with you about your booking, if you contact us there or ask us to. Your phone number and the conversation are held by WhatsApp under their own terms.

Google Analytics

Counts visits to this website so we can see which pages are read and where people arrive from. It tells us about visits in aggregate, not about you by name, and it sets a cookie in your browser.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram)

Measures how our advertising performs. A small piece of Meta's code runs on this website and tells them that a visit happened, and whether a booking was made. It sets a cookie in your browser.
